FACE MASKS REQUIRED TO ENTER OUR FACILITY
ear Patients,

The physicians and staff at Internal Medicine Associates of Tuscaloosa are taking extensive steps to help ensure the health and safety of our patients to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19.)  We will remain completely available to you for management of acute illnesses, as well as new medical problems, in our office, and at DCH Hospital and Northport DCH Hospital.

If you have an appointment with us, you will be evaluated before entering the waiting room.  You will then proceed to the check-in desk, where you will complete your check-in tasks.  To limit your exposure to other people, if you have a cell phone, you will then be given the opportunity to wait in your car until you are called back to the examination room by your nurse.

In addition, beginning today, we will be able to see patients via Updox Video Chat.  You will need a cell phone with camera access or computer with a webcam attached.  You can call our office to request an Updox Video Chat, at which time your provider will initiate a Video Chat as soon as they are available.  You will receive an invitation on your device via text message or email.  Click the link to be taken to the Secure Video Chat environment.  You will have 10 minutes to click the link before it expires.   The first time you use Video Chat, your device may ask for permission to use your camera and microphone.  Please allow access.  You will be taken directly into the video chat session with your provider.  The microphone and camera buttons will pause the audio and video you are sending.  The red “phone” button will disconnect the chat.

Thank you for your understanding and support.  Please feel free to give us a call with any questions or concerns.  We are here to support our patients during this very challenging and ever-changing time.
